So, a couple weeks ago on a busy Saturday night, my bosses brother comes. He’s watching me wait on tables and does not like the way I am doing my job. Typically, I’ll go around to 3 or 4 of my tables and then go to the computer after and put all the orders in at once. It saves a huge amount of time. His brother felt I needed to wait on the customers one by one putting the drinks in the computer as I go. The problem is the way he handled it. He demanded I count my tips for him, basically accusing me of stealing. Got in my face and everything. Please, tell me if I am wrong but, how is it any of his business how much money I make? There is a very thorough surveillance system and no possible way for me to steal without getting caught. Not to mention, again, this is the owner’s brother. Therefore, he is not my boss nor does he sign my paychecks. Can I please get someone’s opinion on this cause I ended up getting fired and I think it’s complete bullshit!!

What in the hallelujah world this is so disturbing I would report him to all the news channels and get them involved and I would report him HE NEEDS TO LOOK UP A DEFINITION OF A TIP A TIP IS SOMETHING A CUSTOMER GIVES YOU THAT YOU EARNED FOR GIVING GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE

Hi Gina Mondile past waitress here! I have never had anyone ask me to count my tips in front of them and if they had I would have definitely told them NO way. I am sorry they put you in that position, but you did not need to show them anything, that is money you earned. The only ones that should know is you and the IRS when you claim the tips that's it. He sounds like a huge jerk and you deserve better!
