I have been a seasonal lifeguard for the town I live in...this will be my 8th season. I have been a senior guard for three years. Last year, I was put at the furthest beach to work...I did it with no complaints. This year I told them I did not want to have to travel that far and I seem to not being heard. There are junior in seniority to me who I feel should be put at this beach...I took my turn. Is there anything that I can do?

It can be upsetting to feel like you aren't heard or valued by your employer, especially after you've racked up a number of years worth of experience at a job. I would try and ask yourself why you think you've been asked to work at the furthest beach. Oddly, it could be because of your experience that they put you in that section of the beach. If so, think about offering to assist with training so someone else can take up that post, or offer to rotate your position. If management gets the sense that you're willing to assist them in making changes to the lineup, perhaps you'll have a better shot at getting the post you desire. Best of luck!
