What does an average day at Dollar General look like?

Checking in vendors with your merchandise, truck deliveries from the warehouse. Stocking, planograms, price changes, seasonal, assisting customers, maintaining a friendly and helpful work environment and recovery is a must! It's alot of hands on work, but it's easy once you get use to it. They have great opportunities to grow and benefits, it's a great company. I've been there for 12 years and still love it

It really all depends. If you're the Store Manager it's horrible. I was a store manager for Walmart for 13 years and had plenty of help. It was great. At DG they cut your payroll to heck and back and half the employees that stick around call in half the time. If you've never seen in a Dollar General go on YouTube and see the videos they make about about those stores. 95% of them have large freight carts down all the aisles, empty shelves all over the place. They are, overall, an absolute retail disgrace. Do yourself a favor and don't apply. I was working 80+ hours a week, still couldn't get everything done and wound up spending 3 days and nights in a hospital because.it gave me a massive seizure. Hope that helps
