I would love to work for such an outstanding company. I have applied online and have personally visited several of the Dollar General stores in my area and asked to speak to the manager, but they were unavailable so I left my resume. What else can I do to let them know I am interested?

Hi Arleen, Sounds like you are already taking some awesome steps! The next thing I would suggest doing is calling all the stores you applied at to follow up on your applications. Ask to speak with the manager. If they are not available, ask when a good time to call back would be so you are able to catch them.
