The Cincinnati Work Job Fair is going on right now until 12pm today. At this point, you may be thinking to yourself, "What can I do to get the most out of this experience?" No worries! We've got you covered.

1. Take the temperature of the room. Don't dive in right away when you enter the event. Make sure you take a moment to take a breath and look around the room. Take a look at how things are laid out and which companies are where. Make a quick plan about how you'll make your way around the room to see as many of your target companies as you can. Take a deep breath and go!

2. Work up to your target companies. When you first get into the job fair, you may feel nervous to start, which is completely normal and can even be expected. What you want to try not to do, is go straight to your top priority companies when you're not feeling completely confident. Get the jitters out by practicing your pitch on companies that aren't high priority for you. Once you feel like you're ready for the big time, switch over to those companies you're truly interested in so they can see you at the top of your game!

3. Take notes! You're likely to get a bunch of business cards today and by the end of the day it'll be hard to remember who's who. To help avoid forgetting about potentially crucial company reps, make sure to write three things about the company rep on the back of their cards while they're fresh in your mind. That way, when you follow up on them you'll be able to tailor your message to them specifically.

4. Follow-up! After the fair, make sure you follow up with every rep from a company you're interested in. Make sure you forward them a digital copy of your resume, thank them for their time, and express your excitement about potential opportunities!
