That's what I thought.. Lowe's was closing it's doors in various states and I'm not sure if I would be able to apply for a company with a uncertain future!!

Mark, I'd suggest you update your LinkedIn profile, resume, cover letter with at least 4 professional references and update your personal profiles on Indeed, Monster, Career Builder and any other job posting sites you might be a part of. Something good will come of it.

INSIDER TIP: If you have the time each day (if not, do this at least once a week, SUNDAY is best), go to your profiles on the job posting sites, go to the edit field, remove your zip code, then RETYPE it back in and hit SAVE. This will update your posted profile, and move your profile back to the top of page 1, so when employers are searching for candidates like you, there is a better chance of being seen, rather than your profile being on page 30. The sites are designed so that the most recent resumes posted are on the top of page 1. Although your profile may be current, if you updated it 3-4 weeks ago, you could be on page 30. No recruiter or HR Hiring Manager is looking for anyone on page 30. By the time they've searched through the first 4 pages of those sites, they've already found 4-5 qualified candidates to bring in and interview.

Good Luck! Frank

I was employed by Lowe's as an asm for almost five years until I was dismissed in October 2018 from a store in San Antonio. I transferred out here from Columbus Georgia to make my home here but in hindsight I should have stayed where I was. I was treated well at my old store unlike here in San Antonio. It has been difficult finding a job, been on several interviews, and the two job prospects that were going to hire me declined at the last minute. Dollar tree actually hired me to start January 8th and then called to decline the offer. Is there any retailer out there that is willing to give me an opportunity to prove myself? I guess not in San Antonio.
