Job Interview

I will be going in for a job interview for VoIP technical support tomorrow. Though I am not sure if I will be able to take the job even if it's offered as it's a 60 mile drive from my house, which equals 120 mils a day, possibly through rush hour traffic.

I really want to find either something close to home or find a place that is going to Florida and help reestablish communications for emergency personnel. I am unsure of any group that I would be able to travel with, but it would be nice to see if there is something I could do to help.

Hi Anthony, If you're looking to support areas affected by the recent Hurricane storms I suggest you stay connected to FEMA's Hurricane website for legitimate employment opportunities to support in these recovery efforts. I applaud your interests in supporting these areas and I encourage you to continue to pursue those career interests. This page will continue to receive daily updates according to FEMA so please try to stay connected. Thanks.

I feel for you. I travel about 40 miles one way to get to my job and it is taxing. I pay about 120.00 in tolls a month and have to fill up my tank twice a week.

I will say, downloading some books on audible and listening to them does help pass the time, but it is a lot of wear and tear on the body and the vehicle. If the pay is decent and the schedule is negotiable you might want to see if you can work hours that fall outside of rush hour, that will help.

Anthony, I don't have access the the job description so I could be totally wrong but the tech skill level you show on your resume clearly identifies you as an overqualified job for that Voip technical support role you're interviewing for. Compensation probably not worth your time either.
