I actually received a call couple weeks ago about a position at this company that I've never heard of. They said they wanted to hire me and do an interview with me an all. But here's the thing, not only have they never heard the person who called me before but also that despite being the one receiving the invitation for an interview I still didn't get the job. A little irked about it but I'm more angry that after sending an email for thanking for the time they never responded when I asked why I never got the job. I even made sure it was very formal and even called them but still nothing. Not sure how to respond in this situation.

If you're getting interviews but not getting offers it could be time to get feedback: https://www.zippia.com/advice/how-to-ask-why-you-didnt-get-the-job-in-5-easy-steps/

I am going through the same situation as well as others and being that I see how the situation is going this is not the decision of people we exist amongst this decision is being made by a higher power.... the companies in America right now are about to go through the biggest reform they have ever seen.... Father God has us sitting back and observing ..... from all of that drama coming their way

Age hurts. I am 61 and just got a job about 3 months ago. All of my rejects said my credentials were impressive but they were going with somebody else. I knew it had to be my age.

I am not sure what your resume looks like. I always double check mine. Finding different ways it could be worded that sounds correct. I submit my resumes online and I attend the job sites. Going the extra step can be benefiting most times. Don't give up. It will happen.

The most important feature you should understand about your resume is the keyword search. Applicant Tracking Systems allows recruiters and hiring managers to search a pool of resumes based on keywords, rather than reading each resume recruiters and hiring managers use Applicant Tracking Systems. The keywords they search are likely keywords included in the job descriptions/posting. So, in order to give yourself the best shot at getting noticed, you must tailor your resume to the job description/posting for which you're applying. Try Jobscan and give your resume, that extra boost.
