More on discrimination

This may prove to be a problem only in Los Angeles, but I fear it will spread over our country. I am a professional driver of 22 years and another 7 years of experience in shipping logistics. In my job search I have be turned down or deemed unqualified because i don't speak Spanish. What? how is it that these company American as they are operating here in the United States can require Spanish as the language. It is a blatant act against many U.S. citizens. Even companies like Fedex, just to name one has done this to me. Any help or ideas please. Because to lie and say I speak Spanish would be grounds for termination. Just as much as lying about criminal history.

You need to get documentation of a company telling you that, and then ask the state's attorney general. Your question is good, but as you said, you are in LA, and there are so many illegals that their rights outweigh yours. English is still the language of this country, but not in California.. Good Luck...
