Package/mail Sorter?

I honestly would be happiest behind the scenes, sorting mail and packages. Lower stress and opportunities for anxiety. How does one go about finding a position like this? All I ever see posted is Package Handler, and I think those are completely different. Thanks.

Maybe a post office job and not those big warehouses where it's more physical.

I worked at the post office and UPS. I prefer UPS. Yes, some, not all packages are large, however it was a low stress atmosphere. You scan a package and put it in a can. Very straight forward work. Not hard at all.

Package handler moves pigs in and out of trailers and is very hard work. Sorting is done by machine. Almost everyone has to start at package handling. It is also part time work, early morning or late evening

Hey Mary Nations , UPS isn't the right place for that type of role. They manage packages up to 50 lbs not letter mail.

Check out the current job listings at the USPS. I think you will have more success finding those type of jobs there.

The good news is that they are also Hiring! See https://about.usps.com for more information.
