Hi guys, recently the place I work at closed, they sold the business, no previous notice they would do so, then boom I don't have a job. What should I do?? Can I collet unemployment, I'm broke, I start applying to different jobs, but I'm getting rejected. Is there any specific conditions to claim unemployment?! I just need support till I find a job... it's very frustrating

Yes file for unemployment. Let them no that the company you worked foe went out of busniess, and the employee's got no notice, and you went back to work there was sign or what way you found they went out of,and now you have not work. Usually by a couple of days unemployment will notify you

File for unemployment immediately! I know in NC, you don't get an unemployment check until the 2nd week. And you should definitely go to the Social Services office in the county you live in. They may be able to help. They can offer guidance if nothing else.

Benefits vary from state to state. What's good in CA might not necessarily be good in RI -- the only thing you can do is apply for unemployment, and ask staff there to direct you to other resources that you might qualify for. In PA, if one is collecting unemployment, he or she is ineligible to collect any type of "welfare" payment, and can be granted minimal food stamps for a limited period of time.

BTW... If and when ppl give you a resource, NEVER ask too much more of them! Do the research on your own! I'm just nice enough to respond. At times, not as nice because if you want it, YOU go get it or at least try.

If you dont have kids under 18, go to your local dpss office and request GR/ general relief which is about $200 per month in LA ca. Also, request medical/ foodstamps ( about $100 per month in la ,ca) Doordash. Com/ instacart. Com to deliver groceries if u have a car. Housekeeper. Com. Care.com to work with families. Rover. Com/ wag.com if u luv pets. Glass door.com for receptionist/ office positions. Blessings! Indeed. Com is great for warehouse work.
