Do I need a HVAC certificate to apply for a sales job with big Lennox International?
I’m an experienced salesman experienced in selling everything from used cars to farm equipment. I’m looking of sales opportunities in energy efficient heating and a/c equipment for international companies but I don’t know if I need a engineering degree or a HVAC certificate before I can apply.

You dint need to be certified unless you're a field tech. Or installer. I actually worked for Lennox in Indy before I got my certification and was build the units and never needed it until I became a field tech

Hi Nicole, I've been in the HVAC/R industry for over 30+ years and as Mariah stated it couldn't hurt. It is only required if you are going to be handling Refrigerants such as R22 and R410a. It is not required for sales personnel selling HVAC equipment. Hope that helps and good luck in your career in the HVAC industry.

Hi Nicole: I'm sure it couldn't hurt, but it sounds like you have enough experience to land a sales job with them. Ask if they provide any job training - it might be a benefit!
no your just selling if u r installing the item yes u do .
