They will tell you anything to get you in the door. Why else would an employer have revolving job fairs almost weekly to try to get new hires? Why else would they need to hire 50+ people at a time. People leave almost as fast as they hire on. I had two co-workers walk off the job this week. I am constantly looking for a new job but I figure this job is better than no job. They are very deceptive with their wage information too. I expected to be hired in at a higher rate and got the answer "Sorry, corporate makes the final wage decisions and this is all you get". During my hiring interview there was one job that I specifically did not want to do---cashier at checkout---and told my interviewer this. Don't you think that would have been the deal breaker during an interview? No problem, they blew right past it, and yes, I have to cashier when needed. It is just a sham all the way around.
