I have about 300 applications out. I am a veteran, Navy. But a lot of the jobs go towards the "PROTECTED VETERANS". So my six years in the Navy doesn't mean anything? Protected veterans are the ones that served during the Vietnam war. I enlisted the same year that the conflict officially ended. But yet I cannot claim as being protected. I am not degrading the ones before me, and my heart goes out to the ones that had to go through that time period, really! I have family members that served during the Vietnam war. but come on, I volunteered to serve my country for six years! All I am asking for is a break and a job!!!
