My advice to people interested in working at #JcPenny as a #OrderPicker ...
I would tell them my experience and tell them what to expect. 1 getting used to work on a cement floor took me a good three weeks. My lower calf’s ankles were killing me. But once I made it past the three weeks it became easier. 2 lots of inefficiencies that need to be addressed, but will be discovered when working there.. 3. You need to be a worker, it’s a faced pace environment. 4. You need to be accurate in picking. 5 if your late for your job a lot , you won’t last long. 6 breaks were fair, but the only time they get on anyone coming back from break late is when corporate is their.. 7 they do stretching in the morning, but never any stretching after breaks in my dept. unless corporate is their. 8. Enjoyed loading trucks, never had to worry about accuracy or quota on pic numbers. 9. Special projects was easy , just repricing items and boxing them. It was boring to me because you pretty much stand in one spot all day. 10. Garments was really easy, just moving racks and making boxes, if you don’t like dead quite work area. It could be a problem. 11. If there’s a problem with an employee it could be resolved if they brought it up at the meeting in the morning but most people there just like gossip and rumors.
