Until it is done, it will remain undone...

@Tj Toler, I love West Virginia. It has to be one of, if not thee, most beautiful state in this country. I lived in Beaver, WV (Beckley) for a spell once. The landscape and the people were top-notch.

I was looking around for you and I found a position that sounds perfect for you.

Laborer, Americorps, WV

As a Laborer within the Eastern Ecological Science Center, some of your specific duties will include:

  • Performs tasks that require moderately heavy physical effort and the use of common hand tools and simple power equipment.

  • Loads and unloads trucks and other conveyances; opens heavy boxes and crates; stocks material for storage; moves and arranges furniture.

  • Operates hand and power mowers (walking type), weed trimmers, and steam cleaners; shovels snow, sand and debris; cuts and clears small trees and brush along roads and fences using an axe, brush hook, hand saw or similar hand tools.

  • Performs basic level daily inspection of facility operation equipment.

$15.96 - $19.79 per hour

@Tj Toler At the bottom of your screen is a toolbar and there’s function that says jobs, click on that and submit an application to a company that is appealing to you. Use the keyword “Tree Removal” to filter out your job search.

Stellar Guest Services Advocate

@Tj Toler I recommend checking your local nextdoor.com. Nextdoor is a platform for communities to communicate with each other about neighborhood events & issues and it's a great platform to advertise your services. Small businesses can excel by word of mouth referrals so it's a good place to start if you're having a hard time finding a job that matches your skill set. Here's the link for your area:

nextdoor.com

You can advertise your services there. You can even start your own small business by acquiring an LLC which can be done through your city offices. That way you can become an independent contractor which will encourage customers to retain your services and refer you for jobs well done within the community. Members are always asking where they can retain trustworthy service providers. In any case, you may be able to acquire some part-time work while you look for a more permanent position.
