Partner Owner at Triple T And Sons

Very discouraged.

We just moved to West Monroe Louisiana about a month ago. Found a house pretty quick, but the jobs out here are horrible! All the guys have found jobs but keep getting jerked around for there hours. Part time and making you leave early. I can't even find a job at this point. We are getting ready to lose our house, all the utilities are due and we are so close to losing the storage we have all our stuff in all the way on the east coast. I'm going crazy..we all are..what can we do?

Where do you go to church? Talk to the pastor, there is always help and hope there.

Security

There are a lot of security jobs. Try the storage places, they are always hiring. Churches don't give funds out unless you are a member because they have limited funds.

Find a local Church that offers benevolent funds and apply for them. They will help with utilities, etc.. They may even have job openings and you can do volunteer work until you can find a job. Also, try the temp jobs. Lots of companies hire temp workers before placing in permanent positions. Praying you will find something soon.

I would leave before you lose too much. It’s ok to go and not weather the storm. Trying to make something with the odds against you sometimes just isn’t worth it. Everyone likes a good story and we all root for the underdog but every so often, you just have to throw in the towel. There is no shame in making a smart decision and going where there is employment. Or you can stay and have faith until you are homeless and lose everything. Up to you?

Early Childhood Professional-Special Education

The public school system always needs help even in the summer for summer school etc. they need bus drivers, cafe workers, plant operators special ed assistants the list goes on and on, the pay is not always great but usually comes with insurance...another area to look is home health aides, not to mention if you have a car you could be a shopper for a company and deliver groceries or a delivery person for say may pizza hut...if you have a bachelor's degree you could tutor or teach on line...while you are waiting volunteering somewhere maybe in library, animal hospital or in a hospital you never know what would open up...hope you find something
