Wrongful Termination

I was just fired 3 days ago for attendance when I was hospitalized 4 days ago. I have never been written up or even talked to about my attendance. I was carried by ambulance so I was unable to call in so it was classified as a no call no show. Upon discharge, I called but no one returned my calls. After calling the next day, I was told "after consideration of previous events we will continue with the termination process." It's been 4 days since the "no call no show" and I'm still not terminated. So I can't even apply for help while talking with an attorney. The catch: I was 7 days shy of my 90 day mark within the corporation!! This feels so wrong but I feel stuck. Can someone please help or offer some advise?

Employers are not required to issue termination letters in some states but you should write your former boss a letter politely requesting a termination and see if they comply. What's the "help" your referring too? Call the help agency's office and check if you actually need a termination letter from your boss in order to receive help.
