Hello I live in NYC and have experience and education. I've been looking for a counseling or casework job for a while. I've been unemployed on and off for a few years. My last job ended horribly. I'm tired of searching and scratching to survive. I really need a job. I'm even looking for part time work for the holidays. If I don't find something soon I won't be able to give my children Christmas. I've been lucky past few holidays but this year it's getting scary. Any help is appreciated.

Angela, have you submitted your application to a temp agency and spoken to someone about it? I know that isn't always ideal, but it's a good way to get something and also build up some new experience. At the very least it would give you some spending money for the holidays. Plus you never know - it could actually become a permanent job.
