SUMMARY: The Deli Clerk prepares and cooks deli foods and gives great customer service to patrons of the Company by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prep work. Read food order slip or receive verbal instructions as to food requested by patron. Prepare sandwiches. Cook deli food according to instructions. Prepare salads and slice meats and cheese. Maintain line cleanliness and sanitation (includes cutting boards, floor, trash, slicer, equipment, etc.). Serve meals to patrons over the counter. Customer Service; Make eye contact and greet guests enthusiastically. Treat customers and co-workers with courtesy and respect. Maintain a safe work environment according to federal and state regulations. Maintain a working knowledge of deli recipes and prepared foods. Miscellaneous cleaning and stocking. Positively respond to direction and requests for assistance from co-workers, supervisors, managers, and guests. Take initiative to help any area of the Deli if possible. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have excellent customer service skills. Previous deli experience preferred. Availability on the weekends is required. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
