Molly, thanks for that information there are many of us seasoned applicants looking for companies that are welcoming to employees who have many years of experience and trying to find somewhere that appreciates it.

Customer Service Specialist at Lowes Companies Inc

I feel your pain & frustration because I've run into those brick walls for the last 10 months. I'm a senior citizen also, by the way. And I've filled out many applications & have been interviewed several times, but it's become very clear to me that AGEISM is alive & well. But, I've continued to beat my head against the wall anyway. And, guess what, a miracle happened today. After having placed my second (this year) application with Sears, a wonderful lady from my nearby store left a voicemail saying that she'd like to discuss a possible opportunity. Within the hour I met her at her store & received an offer! Yes, it is Seasonal & yes it is part-time, but I have no doubt that it'll transition into permanent. I think Sears can recover & I'm gonna do my part in making that happen. Fill out their online application if you have a store nearby & give them a chance. And you may find them welcoming you with open arms, too.
