What’s so Critical about Thinking?

What’s are Critical Thinking Skills? I’ve seen this on a couple of job application details for customer service and help desk jobs but I’m not sure if I’m showing enough of this on my resume from previous job duties. Every technical job requires thinking right? So, what are some basic critical thinking skills necessary in the workplace? How can I list those on my resume?
