Clothes often become a part of our identity - at what point do we need a fresh start?
This woman describes how her introverted personality translated into her wardrobe - now, as an adult, she has learned to dress with confidence...this leads me to wonder how much our clothes can change our outlook or visa versa. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/caroline-garnet-mcgraw/dressing-better_b_7781314.html

One of my best friends told me she dresses up in her finest cloths a whenever she get up feeling down or depressed. She say's wearing nice cloths helps her feel better and the compliments she receives throughout the day raises her confidence.

Honey, when I lived with my parents I dressed according to the finances of the house, when I got married and had children we all dressed according to the finances of the house: Sales, garage sells, hand me downs, give a way's, grandma/auntie made, etc. Love those days now and still exchange with my brother' and sister' family. Is it better dressing in all respect it's watching out for one another including neighborhood families. Its' fun.

You know, I think it all depends on the person. Firstly, I am a guy, and guys typically don't have the pressure of being fashion conscious. That being said, I used to be a big JC Penney shopper. I would buy all my shirts and pants on sale at Penny's. I would get angry because it seemed like my stomach was a magnet for food (grease). I would get grease stains on the tummy of my shirt, but I would get through until another sale. Pennies raised the interest rate on their charge card, and I decided to drop JC Penny's. I started shopping at Goodwill. On the first Saturday of the month, I get shirts for $1.80 with my discount card. I wear all kinds of shirts (polos) from all kinds of companies, groups, or organizations, whatever Goodwill has, and nobody says a thing because the dress code is your shirt has to have a color, and no offensive writing. My polos have collars, and nothing offensive, but they may say anything. If I get something on my shirt, I toss it in the trash for $1.80. My Pennies card has been paid off for years, and I haven't bought a new shirt in about ten years. I get shirts, pants, shoes, and other stuff at Goodwill, and I feel very smart about my shopping. I make good money at work, and I pay not much for my wardrobe. I'm just saying " you don't have to spend a fortune to look and feel good about yourself". Good Luck to All.
