Customer support specialist is a gloriously vague job title. Expect to wear the customer service hat, the application support hat and don't be surprised if software testing, application development and documentation develop also end up on the plate. Best advise? Always remember angry or unhappy customers are easy ones relative to lost or confused customers. Why? They know WHY they are angry. Focus on the issue and doing as much as you can while being direct about it. Then acknowledge their emotions, even if it doesn't seem to you as warranted. Do it right and you end up with fans instead of haters

Before applying to a Customer Support Specialist job, make sure you have strong communication skills, the ability to handle challenging situations, and a customer-centric approach. Familiarize yourself with common customer service tools and software. It's also helpful to have experience in resolving customer issues effectively and efficiently. Additionally, research the company culture and values to see if it aligns with your own. Check out job search platforms like Indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Jobcase for Customer Support Specialist positions. Good luck!
