Corporate Recruiter

pycho boss

I have been at my current company for 14 days and was already written up on a final warning of dismissal. the first week was horrible training and the second week they threw me into do orientation for people that I had never done before, nor was I trained to do it then my third week I recruited and was written up on my 5th day for not following the process. Hell I haven't had enough time to learn the processes. And every time I talk to my boss she scares the shit out of me and I freeze up. I am quitting and giving my two weeks because being on a final while in training if a no win situation I will do something wrong.

Okay, did anyone train you, did you get an employee hand book, by any chance did you find a mentor in your area for support. There should be/or have been for new employees support this is what makes a company strong and upward movement. Hum????? Last: was this the job you applied for or the job they gave you with out support. Now take this experience and use it for your good.

You really could be over-reacting. Never quit a job, try your hardest. No manager will be angered if you approach them privately and ask for materials you can review on your own time. While it was occurring, you should have simply asked them to review those parts again. A re there others in training with you? Are they lost as well? If not, can you ask them to explain some of what you didn't get over coffee. Lastly go to HR, tell them you got lost in training and could you retake the course or be transferred to an area more fitting with your skills. As you've been hired, it will cost them more to hire some else than retrain you. Money is how businesses make decisions. Give it a try!

Yes, run fast right out of there! Sounds like the worst nightmare job ever. I mean the time you have been there sounds like you haven't learned anything and the job seems to be chaotic.... Get the heck outta there..... Chalk up to experience and a lesson learned.... geez

Sink or Swim. Sink while trying to swim. Don't just give up. Next job will not be different. Just different faces. You ALWAYS do your best, if its not good enough, then it wasn't meant to be. Not a religious post, just a human post. You cannot be expected to exceed your knowledge or training. My advice, don't give up, be glad your employed and things WILL get better. If you are still there in a year, the faces will probably be very different.

Sharon Stark (Stark):

Two weeks of poorly executed training and your third week you begin to apprentice your way into revenue creation as a recruiter and you receive feed back that your not following the company's process in recruit on the fifth day. Your boss uses fear as a motivation tool for accomplishing goals. This is my summary of this work vignette.

Good summary and good read on the match of your personal work style and work environment preference.
Strong decision maker.

I am assuming you have left the company. For those in a similar situation, I strongly suggest you contact HR and file a complaint. It may not save your job but it is better than quitting and forfeit any remedy for your situation. You are dealing with a bully boss and it is a terrible situation. Depending on the state of employment there are different options available.
