Consider working on Sundays and Mondays. Those are the days that most salons are closed, Those who come in on Sundays will look fresh for Mondays. Those who come in on Mondays are those who probably could not make it Sunday.

Maybe you can try advertising locally in the neighborhood or area surrounding like in a venue paper or something.

I did, there is good and not so good involved. Hair is my thing but the rest not so much. I do it but it takes time from the work I love to do.

I’ve been telling the girls who cut my hair and my son’s hair they need to look into doing their own thing and I have two 24/7 call centers, one with extra space and on top of the extra clients who are in the building, I’ve explored many options over time like a daycare even because so many employees have kids. I also just made an investment this week for very cheap with google, amazon and eBay where to say the least they create my website and I can market or sell anything they do the only difference is it used my secure link and I have to come up with a name and can change as much as I want as to what I sell. It helps them network and expand is the perk for them and I just have to use my networks and select items people or companies use and purchase on these sites. So contact me privately if you are serious. I also have another one for my son’s basketball camp at a prominent high school where you pay a small fee and they promote and speak and do so much to help your business out. It works and I want to do that as well if I can find the time as a single father with little help and need someone I can trust.

Hair Stylist at Threes Company Salon

I am an independent stylist. I work at a salon that uses Facebook and Instagram for advertising. We post hairstyles to advertise cuts and colors. We also wear shirts with our logo on them. That gets good response as well. We do fundraising for Little Pink Houses of Hope that puts our name out there. Also donating services to local schools for their fundraising.

I know some people who have started businesses and used Facebook and Instagram to advertise. Maybe you have friends that can model your styles and take short videos. Maybe use craigslist to find local photography students or videographers that can help as well. That way your getting people who have some training but could also use the work to display their talents as well. May the Lord bless you in your venture.

Let me tell you! By you being in business for 32 years that alone let’s people know you know what your doing, first of all that helps so much when trying to go independently, second of all never be scared of failure always know that we must make decisions and take risks on a daily basis! I owned a taco truck and learned so much from being a business owner and I ended up selling it make sure you do your research on permits and costs, that being an independent owner entitles you to, and all fees and merchandise you can and cannot have or sell, create a budget needed analysis and brainstorm all the ideas ask for friends support take good advice and credible support and run with it! I can tell you this it will not be easy! But make sure you get all your information and call around go and speak to other gals in the business and ask for advice and that should tell you how to start it! Referrals are awesome and people will refer you customers if you take care of the business the business will take care of you! Never be scared of new challenges and failure is apart of learning and growing a business you might fall but that’s always a learning experience to get stronger! I say do it we only live once and we cannot live by regretting what we didn’t do, make sure you find a good support system that works for you, there is company’s that will promote your business to bring you business when your ready to grow! Trust and believe in your self and inner intuitions!Good luck I know you can do well! You need more faith in you that’s all we can achieve what we put our mind to think. Success is within! You’re self.
