Career change getting my CDL

I did a career change goin from the Food Service, @ Dekalb County School to become a Bus Driver it's a challenge far as studying and passing my classes, to become best, safety driver than I can be. I recently just got my Commercial Leaners Permit Oct 1, 2016, boy was that a challenge that General Knowledge kick my behind for four weeks. But I accomplished it, that passed me on to take the CDL testing on the school bus which I didn't do good on twice but I didn't get the proper training like everyone else.Boy did I raise sand as (my grandmother use to say)..lol... I'm the type of person and friend I be there for you when you need me why!!! I can't get the same in return on this career journey I'm taking for the better for me and my son being a single parent... When I didn't passed on certain parts which I thought I did good on October 20,2016. Which I think my tester just have something personal goin on with me....I was really upset and them friends I was there for not One could I get on the phone to talk too.. But the classmates that don't know me from Adam to Eve answered ther phone to hear my cry and my Best Friend my Mother!!! Yes, I said it my Mother

Truck Driver at World Class Trucking Llc

Best of "luck" with your test next Tues. I say that because it has nothing to do with luck but everything to so about being prepared. I see you got the learner's which I am assuming means doing the road test has been the challenge. The biggest thing I have seen is with passing the Pre-trip inspection. When I went to school for my CDL A 2 yrs. ago every morning for the first 1-2 hrs. would be doing a pre-trip with a buddy. Got so I could go over all the parts without even being in front of the truck. If you got that part and are having problems with the driving part, just try to stay calm and breathe easy. If you know someone with a big truck that could let you go around and let you drive for practice that would be even better. The more time under the wheel the easier it gets. Remember once you get it keep it you can always get a job and it will be easier to get an upgrade. (City bus driver too!)

Hi Kimberly - I responded to an ad for school bus drivers by our local school district - I went to the classes and then had to go to the CHP for the testing - I was told by both the class instructor and a call to CHP that the testing was every Wednesday - I went the first Wednesday (without calling to confirm that they would be testing) and was told 'we don't do testing every Wednesday, you have to call the Monday before to confirm'. OK, I call the Monday before to confirm the Wednesday of that week and I get a 'yes' - I go that Wednesday and was told 'no testing this week. So you know what I'm done - it's like it's not meant to be for me. Just another hurdle in my search for a job.

Good miring Kimberly. How are you hope all is well. Getting back to your training a lot of people don't understand taking the test for school bus driver, first they read more into the question. Then they try to analyze it. Answer the question just like it say. The read no more into it.secondly they have sample question on the tests it you want to take test for your license. Be Blessed
