Shipping Receiving Clerk at Walmart

Anyone here in cybersecurity?

It's something I've always liked and am passionate about. Looking at a career change in early 40s. Tired of warehouse jobs

Yes I am in Cyber Security mostly Application Security but there are 8 domains of Cyber Security as per ISC2 or https://www.isc2.org/# where you go to get information on certification. If you are a Vet you can go to www.CyberVetsUsa.org for help paying for Cyber Security Exams from ISC2. If you have no experience but are good at learning before Certification you can be a certified CISSP Associate after passing a 250 question test. Also there are a lot of places you can get an Apprenticeship check with your states Department of Labor on how to get an Cyber Security Apprenticeship- How this help

Data Center Maintenance Server Lift Technician

I am sorry to say this. I worked flying robotic airplanes in the middle East for almost 9 years. Left to get married and go back to school. Finished my bachelor's degree last December. Had 1 job on contract at a data center for 4 months. Still cannot find a job in cybersecurity. If anyone knows the way to break in, I would help anyone I could too.

Hi Andrew Jackson ! Check out [this article] (https://www.forbes.com/sites/laurencebradford/2017/02/27/how-to-start-a-lucrative-career-in-cybersecurity/#516dbb421066) I think it might help you begin that career : )

Also if you are thinking about changing careers here are some tips to help!

Check the job description If you’re not sure which skills you should include for a particular role check the job description and see what they are looking for! Here are a few examples of skills that you can transfer, check out more [here] (https://www.utoledo.edu/success/career/pdfs/transferable_skills_checklist.pdf). -Leadership -Motivation -Time management -Delegation -Communication -Research

Show proof Make sure once you add a skill to your resume that you show how you performed it at your job! -Don’t just say: "Great leadership skills." -Prove it: "Excellent leadership skills, demonstrated when I successfully managed a small team of individuals over the course of a three-day fundraising event."

Make a list of your job duties Create a list of your current and past job duties. Focus on more than what is required of you in your current/previous job or what was/is in your actual job description. Think about what you were you responsible for on a daily basis! Which tasks and duties have you done daily and also which ones did you fulfill that were outside what you were hired for?

Record your accomplishments Now it's time to list specific accomplishments. Did your boss recognize you at some point? Did you save a colleague time by helping he or she complete a project? Think of achievements that are both large and small. They ALL matter to your next employer!

Best of luck!
