Cant find a job
I'm at lowest and I've been applying for jobs almost a year now and I'm still not hired. I have a bachelor's in information system. Imy looking jobs in the data entry and administrative profession..I just don't know what to do and my bills are piling and I can hardly keep my head above the water at this point...can someone help me...I have 2 kids to support and just trying to survive...I sometime just want to give up for I know the struggle out here is real...but I'm keeping the faith

Dawn you are like so many of us, spinning our wheels. What do I mean? We go to an interview with the same posture, this is what I do hire me. When we should be going in strong and confident. Showing it in our voice and posture. Even if you feel low never let it show. Even you will notice a difference. So keep a smile on ! ! !

Care.com. to work with families. Doordash. Com to deliver groceries till u find something in your field. Maybe u can go for social worker even though your degree isn't in human services? Social workers r in demand! Blessings!

Dawn, I'm to the point of moving. My youngest will be 18 in October of this year and she graduated from high school a month ago. I want to try new things to see if I can get ahead. I know you may not want to uproot you and your family but sometimes you have to do what you have to do to make it.

Dawn, before you get desperate you may need to do a nationwide job search, and get ready to move. Your want to stay in you immediate area may not be helpful to you. After I finished my paramedics education in Virginia I had to pack it up and go to North Carolina and then Miami Florida. Then on to Atlanta. Then I advanced on to Medical Assistant. But at the time I did have wife and child in school. But we had to move to stay employed. I go where the job is. I don't settle, and I will live anywhere as long as I can get my desired wages. I know how that sounds, but after this much time where you are without a position it's time to move on... Remember that no court in the land will put you in jail if you can't eat or take a shower. But when children are involved it's a completely different set of rules for you. Alaska or Vermont doing IT beats one day in court anytime. Just keeping it real my lovely... just keeping it real..... And look laterally like Medical Information Systems or something like that. Get away from the traditional IS that everyone else has been trying to get. Have you ever tried to dispatch police, fire, or rescue unites? That to is IS/IT, and you got a full degree. Put your degree in your profile... You look like in your profile like you just graduated from high school. NO!! Talk shit, and sell them your goods and services here. Who can do that better than you.

There's a Charter Communications Hiring Event on June 14 and a Spectrum Technical Support Hiring Event you should look into attending.
Contact the resource centers sponsoring these hiring opportunities and ask about workforce development workshops to help you get better prepared to attend these events. Let me know if you need any other info.

Hi Dawn, Take a moment to work on your online presence. Example, I just read your post and turned to profile to review your location and work experience but couldn't find any details on either to help you. Tell us where you live (city/state) and upload an updated resume that shows more task related details about your previous work experience to offer other members, recruiters, and hiring managers more information on your employment background and career goals. Please reach out to me if you have any questions. Thank you.
Have u looked into cash aide/foodstamps ? If not please do.. U and your babies need to eat and have some income coming in. Since u have worked u also psid into it to receive something back! I agree with Reginald when talking about the possibility to relocate where the true jobs are! However, take Jesus with u and he will pave the way of your footsteps no matter how scarey or NEW! Pray with your babies and grand blessings to u!
