There are any different opinions and things that can be done. To simplify it definitely research the company.

Prepare yourselve for questions like tells us about yourself? Why do you want to work for us? Give us examples of a time you dealt with an angry customer or a similar story. Keep in mind that in customer service you must be extremely patient and caring with all customers. Regardless of how wrong they maybe in a situation. Customer service is very rewarding because at times you may be able to help a customer and brighten their day.

On that note people nowaday are very nasty and disrespectful. You have to be prepared to difuse the situation. It is better to ask your supervisor for help then to disrespect the customer back. Companies will depending on the situation usually side with the customer even if it is their fault. Because you as the customer service associate are supposed to diffuse and deflect the situation. In addition to that let's be honest without customers these businesses would not be operating. It is a very delicate situation. However do not let my honest take on this deter you. The most important thing is deflect and difuse. For example: Sir, I apologize that you did not receive your package overnight. Allow me to look in to this order and make the situation better. Wether it be talking with your supervisor to refund the customer or is company policy allows it just doing it yourself. When a customer is angry they are looking to be acknowledged and for you to take steps to make the situation better.

You should be able to answer questions about specific customer service interactions, such as “Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer, and what was the result of the interaction?.”
