Direct Support Worker at Watsons Group Home

Dropped a week before.....

I originally had two jobs, neither using my degree. when I was presented with the opportunity of moving into a "better" position I took hold. Two interviews, multiple correspondence with HR and a drug test. Boom a week before I'm suppose to start a third person calls and tells me they are getting rid of the position.Meanwhile I've put in a two weeks notice at both of my jobs. I have three kids and no work. I did write an email about the unprofessionalism and they wrote back that they were right. Corporate

Ashley, Submit requests to both past employers for your old job back and file for unemployment when and if they decline. Your old employers will reply to the state that you're not eligible because you quit. You'll be eligible because your new job didn't occur, just make sure you provide the state with your offer letter, emails, etc, and the name, date and position of the person who told you they got rid of the position. Provide this info when you initially apply and you won't get denied requiring an actual hearing. Good luck!

Unbelievable! Couldn't they offer you another position? Go back to your other jobs and ask them to take you back.

That's horrible Ashley! Some companies just don't care. Can you maybe get back at least 1 of your jobs if you explained what happened?
