Job searching nowadays

Because most employers out there require you To apply on-line and not send paper resumes or Fill out forms on paper. Plus its harder to talk to People in person when your looking. Also, these Places of employment want you to do an on-line assessment. Does anybody think that being on the Computer and applying on is taking much longer to do and is the computer making it more difficult to get a job in 2018 as opposed to 20 or more years ago.

Welcome to Jobcase, Kim!

I think that since the job search has largely been moved to the online world, it allows much more applications to be submitted than would have normally been. And you're right - this makes it so much harder to get a face-to-face with the manager than before, where you would have met them right when submitting a paper application.

However, I think it also lets prospective employees work on their applications to make sure it perfectly matches the job posting, and allows them to apply to many more places than before. So. there's definitely something to be said about the negative of applications being online, but I am of the belief that the positive outweighs the negative.

Have you tried using the Jobcase search function? Additionally, filling out your profile here on Jobcase can help potential employers find you and figure out your skills and strengths right away - leading to a new job!
