Dream Job

I’ve always wanted to be an EMT, but I’m not sure how to do that. Where do I start so I can become an EMT?

A local volunteer station is the easiest way to go. After joining they will pay for your training with the agreement of volunteer hours out back into the company. My EMT was sponsored by a local school and instructor came to our station to teach. Expect 9 months of training at least two evenings a week. Nice lady asked on here can women join a fire dept?. YES.....I've been a volunteer for 20 years and pack up and go in with the rest of the company. All of this is a science, and the continuing education is GREAT!

Go to your city college and apply. It should only be about a 90 day course. There was a e.m.t. i spoke with and they constantly need gelp in the Er. Or take a course in l.v.n. training . you'll definitely have a career for life

You have to go to Medical school and tell them that that's what you want to do and they can and will point you in the right direction to where you need to go.

Check with the community college in your area. I am pretty sure that you have to take a few weeks training in boone but I'm not positive. Hope this helps good luck God bless you.

Hello! Do you have any volunteer fire departments in your area? That is how I became an EMT. I joined my local volunteer fire department and they actually paid for my emt training. If you have no volunteer departments in your area, there are schools around that offer the training or even online classes. Good luck to you and best wishes.

Logistics Management Training Potential

I saw an ad for EMT training over the weekend in my area. You have to prep and pass the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) exam to qualify for a job. Get CPR certified first then check your local career source center for available programs and grants. Check with the YMCA or Red Cross for CPR cert.
