Maybe it was my 1st 10+ years at Thomas Steel in Lemont, IL (where Rudy filmed numerous Steel Mill Scenes) I worked on making recovery and functionality of an IBM SYSTEM 34my 1st real Business success in IT. I wrote a set of programs to perform as their General Ledger Package.
It was in the 1980’s that I began coaching Youth Football for the Hornets in Lemont. Last year 2017 was my final year of HORNET Coaching, focus on helping/teaching people without looking for immediate returns from them. Reguardless over the years these young men became used to going to playoffs and all the way to SuperBowls .
Chapter three was another successful 10 Years as I became a VP of Constlting for Rosewood Software. I updated numerous applications in various verticals. At some installations migrating to Motorola Unix and dumb terminals. Optimizing data flow for inventory thru manufacturing and /or shipping. Elm Hill Meats in TN was a wonderful complete software installation 1 week a month for 16 months.
Chapter four was the next 10 years in and around Chicago growing an IT Department to Support Kennedy Home Builders while they grew their business from 87 Homes in one year to over 1,800 per year with wide area network reaching their expanded geographic footprint dictated by community locations from NorthWest Illinois Suburbs to South West Wisconsin Communities. The unfortunate Housing crash forced chapter five.
Chapter five began six years ago and brought a new vertical for this story to succeed in and build knowledge in. Healthcare for both surgery centers and doctor visits in office settings in multiple locations. MicroMD EMR implementation for Doctor office visits training and implementation. Transition from 4 virtual servers on 2 physical servers in the corporate office in Indiana which would crash 2-3 times a week up to 7 Cloud Servers which provide identical computer experiences regardless of qualified location. In the past 6 Years I recovered a Rehabilitation Medicine Specialists network failure as a consultant from APAC. Then support for Michiana Surgery Center physical construction and then Vision HER implementation, which has been running over 3 years now. Supplied to Rehabilitation Medicine Specialist from APAC as an IT consultant to recover their network in Elgin office and improve their functionality across various locations. This Cloud situation at APAC has been called upon recently to bring locations ( Indiana Hospital) up to see patients within two weeks.
