Local CDL jobs as in Hauling woodchips, logs, pulpwood, dump trailer work will be your best bet. Small Companies in you surrounding area.

Most companies hire felonies had to have been at least 7 years though and can't have any pending charges

Yes you can get your CDL and work for a good company. McElroy Trucklines is where I started and I hear they now have a program where they pay for your CDL too. Home every weekend too. I’d give them a call and see what they say.

That's a tough one.before you get your CDL. do some research. Call several companies and just lay it on the line about your past and get their reaction.main thing..DON'T LIE!just lay it out there and get a feel for what companies are saying. A lot of times it depends on their ins. Carrier. Good luck.
