Expected salary
Finishing a 20 year Air Force career in IT. With an associates degree in Information Systems Technology and Security + Certification, what starting salary should I look for?

It depends on a few things. Wether its contract federal or private company. What hands on experience you have heck even down to the job title and description I've seen System Administrators who were basically Help Desk earning 50k and Network technicians who were basically engineers making 110k

What was the last rank you held before retirement? What was your AFSC & skill level?

Not sure. I would check Glassdoor...that sire will let you enter all the parameters about your education, experience and location and give you an accurate assessment of what salary you should go for. Best of luck to you.

If you could get a wireless phone number running for me without all these nonsense, you got yourself a position that you won’t even consider a salary that’s lower than what you think you deserve.

I work as a civilian mechanic engineer for NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) I’m not sure about salary for ET/chief ET but I think it’s 70-90k. They love former military guys. You are supposed to apply on usajobs.gov but you can email the recruiter directly. I think you make more in the private sector but you can move your time over or buy it back, I am not former military so I’m not sure how the time thing works..

Depending on where you reside, you should be able to receive a salary ranging from 80000 to 125000.

Facebook actively seeks ex military with tech background

one million dollars !!!!

Depending on employer type contractor/federal government, and location; your target range should be 80 - 100K starting out. If you have a TS clearance, you could ask for more... Build your reputation, become the expert and the money will come.
With your experience, you call the shots...you know better than anyone what that should be big baller shot caller you got this.
