addresses for homeless
I am homeless and I was wondering why it is I have to pit addresses on applications and other documents and I have no permanent addresse nor is it even sure that I will get the mail that would supposedly come to me at that residence or place when I might not even be there ?

Brilliant - The Salvation Army and Homeless Shelters offer this service (I think) to homeless individuals. If there is a Salvation Army or Homeless Shelter near you (in Los Angeles it's the LA Mission) near you, they will give you a "drop box" whereby you use their street address (not the name) and they hold your mail until you pick it up. This gets rid of the stigma of homelessness and a way for a potential employer to contact you. But keep in mind that most responses are via email or cell phone so a cell phone would help. If you have any contacts you trust that are willing to let you use their address, that is even a better way. You can also try your local Social Services Dept. Good luck to you.
I think they want to see how close you are to the job, maybe just try putting the city and state your in
