Package Handler at Fedex Ground

Package Handler

Assigned to the IC (InCompatibles) line, (actually a conveyor belt running the length of the dock), I had to pull packages too bulky, too big, too small, or too heavy for the normal automated sort for 14 dock positions. The CONSTANT repetition of heavy items weighing as much as 150 lbs. was too much for this guy. And although Fedex wants you to TEAM LIFT such items when you have only 3 people total working those 14 dock positions how do you find anyone to help you?

I work at Fedex hub hub #344 in Ocala Florida and I work ICs as well as unload it's not that easy but after being there almost a year it's a cake walk. Our ICs are pulled by tuggers which I also drive to the ic belts on two different wing of the warehouse team lift is best when loading on to the tuggers but once u take off from your dock u got to left them alone most times I have seen workers come and go and I must say it's not hard it's not easy it's what u make it. Last but not least the job is honestly not for boys and girls it's for men and women. Ocala hub management and employees is family ( team work makes the dream works )
