Hi Kathleen,
Thanks for posting to Jobcase! You're in luck - there are a TON of job listings for a phlebotomist in your area! Here's a link to all the job listings I found: http://goo.gl/hhPzz4
Niccolle definitely gave you some good advice. In addition to what she said, I would also follow up with your online applications in-person. A few days after submitting your online app, take a physical copy of your resume and visit each location in person. Ask to speak to a manager or anyone else who makes the hiring decisions. Let that person know how excited you are about the job role - it's a great way to show that you're passionated and sincere about getting hired.
Don't give up! Finding a job is a numbers game - the more applications you put out there, the greater your chances are of getting hired.
Let us know how it works out for you!

I was looking at redcross, but they don't have anything. I wouldn't mind interning at labcorp or quest but I don't know how to talk to someone higher up. everything seems to be online

Good luck :( I was never able to get hired. U may want to consider just volunteering until they see fit to hire you.
Octapharma will take new hires.
