Getting jobs out of state
Why is it sop difficult to get a job out of state. Due to cost of living in Colorado, I am considering moving in order to make a living. I have been applying for all sorts of work across the country and can't get a a call back. Why is it so difficult to get a job out of state? Is there some things that employers shy away from? How do I overcome this dilemma?

Hi Josh Reising - great question. I think that one of the ways to improve your chances is to remove any indication of your location from your resume, cover letter & profiles. Many companies will see that you are from way out of state and not even consider hiring you due to relocation costs and the time it takes to move. Where are you looking to move?
