I picked up a couple Saturday afternoon, November 12, 2016. If their car had not broken down I would have never had the pleasure of meeting these amazing young people. (Understand, I am 67 so everyone under 55 in a young person.) The riders had returned home from a 3 month trip to south Florida where they worked on the presidential campaign. Traveling through Florida in a camper they spoke to many minority groups who would be considered entrenched in the opposing political party. Their hard work, brilliant ideas and unmatched communication skills did a lot to influence the outcome of the election. She is African-American and he is Latino who speaks 5 languages. The story of how these folks went into a politically hostile, multi-cultural areas with their message of hope and unity is amazing. I will add that the side they were on is not important when compared to the passion, commitment and hard work they demonstrated. Great couple with a most interesting story. #MyDrives
