After months of applying and then 3 weeks of background check, drug test, orientation films, and endless emails. I have settled for a dishwashing position. Being 50 years old and in this industry for over 20 years managing and owning my own business this is so disheartening to have to start at the entry level again.I have never worked for such horrible bosses as where I live now. Don't get me wrong I am happy to be working because i know a lot of us are not. My 2 20 year old sons included , but how do you care for a family with that. I see these people that are rude and lazy and have no regard for the Blessing they have to be so high up. Would just like to have some of that again. If not for myself at least my boys how are strong, smart, and honest. Just venting.
Hi Melissa Hamm you are truly a brave and wonderful individual. It's hard for some to appreciate what they have and I will never understand why myself. Life is a gift and some squander it, unfortunately. As for you, you don't need to stay at a job that you hate. Why don't you consider working for yourself again? You could drive for Lyft and be your own boss? Or you could consider doing some customer service work from home!
