Interview
So I had a job interview with JcPenny and I dressed casual cause I wasn't feeling to good that day. She said I wasn't fashionable enough for the job and mentioned that I wasn't wearing any makeup. Since when do you have to wear makeup at a job. Getting so frustrated on finding a job.

Hi Tracy Chapin dressing for the job is all about knowing what the company (and role) is looking for. Which department were you applying for? Presentation is everything and as a representative of their business, they want the best. In the future make sure to do a little research and always put your best face forward. Check out [these tips] (https://www.jobcase.com/conversations/29869635-4d8f-502f-b912-2211f8b674d8) tips on what to wear, say, and bring.
I would avoid putting a lot of makeup, but a little gloss and some mascara never hurt! I am sorry you weren't feeling well, but sometimes we have to rise above our challenges and just go for it! If you are too ill to make it in the future ask if you can reschedule, but only as a last resort. Good luck! Keep going, you can do this.
Ashley I completely understand that you don't wear any type of makeup, I would advise you not to apply for companies like JC Penney, Macy's. These companies expect for you to carry a certain image. I am not a make up wearer however I understand that certain places want you have a certain image so when I go on interviews I will put on lipstick, eyeliner and sometimes mascara. Its about presenting the best you. I have grays, I dye my hair. I am the one in need of the job and I only get one chance to make a good impression. Good luck in your job search.
