Sneaky bosses
I'm a teacher at my local county head start. I was approached by the HR department in 2016. I interviewed and got the job. The director of all 5 buildings and the HR director knew I'm 2 semesters away from graduation for my BA degree as an Intervention Specialist... Within the 1st wk. My center manger quit, so I had no boss or mentor all school year. Than came my 2nd year. I'm still a lead in my classroom, the program director has it out for me for some reason.... So once we get laid off for the summer, I get a letter a few wks ago that they have 0 record of my college education and if I can't provide them with proof , I will be terminated.
So I've been on the phone all month to get my transcripts , even thought throughout my 3yrs . I've given to 3 different managers. I finally get the University to release my transcripts as of the 7th. Due to everyone being out of the office for vacation... I'm supposed to be called back on the 13th. But no one will return my calls or emails about the fact this ruined my summer , wondering if I have my teaching job on Monday? I've had suffered severe anxiety, stomach issues, been to the ER 5xs with my BP spiking stroke high due to stress... For no reason. I'm really overqualified for this job but love what I do there! Should I go in on Monday and see what's said, I've went on job interviews yet, none offer medical benefits. I'm a single mom with no family still alive, there dad is MIA. I'm the sole provider and I'm scared I'm going to have problems and end up homeless! Please can someone offer advice?
Thank you, Nicole

It is not a good to put all your eggs in one basket. Move forward. If you were able to do it once, you are able to do it again.

Health benefits are essential and each employer should offer benefits as an incentive to attract great candidates and to maintain a healthy staff. Buying from the market place can be so confusing, frustrating, and provider limiting. I have faith you will find a position with benefits soon, networking, job fairs, college recruitment office and friends in the field are a good source to start. Good Luck!

Looks like your boss found an excuse to terminate you and your organization is complicit in that they remain so distant that you only have one contact with the organization. PRETTY FISHY Have you an instructor from the course to verify your attendance?

I am so very sorry you are experiencing this. Honestly, it appears there is a huge miscommunication gap between the old managers and new managers. Sometimes, the new manager will just ask you to provide documents in order to lessen their load of actually looking for them. It sucks! Is there a way that you can scan your unofficial transcript and email it to the new manager or director? As I understand they may ask you for official documents which needs to be sealed.

The education system is broken.

Did you go in on Monday? It sounds like maybe your over qualified and if you didn’t get your job back they will hire someone cheaper. Always keep your own extra copy of your transcripts, you will find something

Hang in there Nicole

I agree, don’t wait for them to make a move. Take it to them with your head up and no hesitation.

I wouldnt wait until Monday,. I would be there first thing in the morning, and I wouldn't leave until I had a firm answer of yes or no if you have a job.
I need to know what happened..did you go in? I would have suggested you walk right in on Monday with transcripts in your hand - also could you talk to the HR person who hired you? let them know what you were promised? In the end, as horrible as it sounds.. if the person does not like you - you will have no growth there so count it as a blessing.. I am sorry this happened to you!
