Sprint at Harris Teeter

Just wondering

Back in February I use to work for sprint but w indirect dealer so not like a Corp store, I was unfortunately assaulted by my roommate an sustained substantial injuries to my face which prevented me from coming into work the day of the incident I contacted my Sm and she understood the dm on the other hands literally fired me because I couldn’t come into work even with doctors note. I’m just wondering if I could sue and if so how an what steps to take because I lost the job like that so abruptly getting back on my feet has been an hardship

At will employment releases employers from a lot of legal issues...they could fire you because you have blue eyes if they wanted. Keep looking...when one door close somewhere God opens a window. You just have to have the courage to crawl through.

What I will do is to move on and look for another Job... do not think of the option to sue the organization... Just as a jobcaser said earlier ... your employment is at will, and you know what that means... God have something big in stock for you... safe yourself the legal stress and channel your time into job hunting and trust me, what you will get will be more bigger and better than what you've lost... Go and prosper my dear..... best wishes..

Hi Brianna Eaton -- I am so sorry about all that has happened to you! I hope that you have recovered from your injuries. In NC you can be fired from a job at any time for any legitimate reason as it is an employment at will state. no, this was a homebase incident. sounds like there was no meeting of the minds. we have understanding for each other all the time, but we cannot go on the Assumption that one thing means the same as the other. there should have been some Clarification on your in end. dates, time, when you can when you can not come to work. it's your job to ensure their is full clarity so no one is misunderstood in what to do next. workplace lawsuit can be over religion, Gender or race issues, sexual harassment anything beyond this is protected by the At-will act check your state to see if it applies. most you should be able to get is Unemployment. I hate that I pray you are doing OK
