older adult starting over

I left my job in September I'm 59 years young. I had been looking for a job every since. i had a couple of interviews that really looked promising but didn't get hired. I decised to use this time to go back to school to learn a new trade that could help me land another job. I still have like 8 years before I can retire. It's never to late to start over.

I will be 56 in May. Left my job in February and just started working for a really good company. It's a complete opposite from what I have done all of my life but it actually has benifits and decent pay. Anyone one can start over but it is harder when you reach a certain age

Maybe you can find something you can do from home. I wish you well.

I am 70. I feel physically feel like I’m 60 years old. However, when interviewers determine my age, no employer wants me on their work force. What can I do? I can not survive on my social security alone.

At lease you got at job at your age. That's what I'm saying no matter how long it takes as long as you get a job. there are still places that will hire you.

People, they say there Is no age bias! I say B.S. It took me 9 weeks to get a job at age 60. If you get one hold on....

I am 57 and in a similar situation. I have a wife and an 11 year old son at home that are depending on me. I don’t know if I can do school and keep a roof over their heads ! I have always been strong and self sufficient. It’s the first time I’ve been really scared.

I’m in a similar spot in my life. I’m thinking that school would be a refreshing and mind awakening project, but maybe going for one of their trade classes would be more appropriate in thee time.
