Offered a temp position
I interviewed today for a back office medical assistant full time permanent. I have an appointment after Thanksgiving to take another test. I was offered a temp position for front office. Full benefits. No guarantee of being permanent. The job is for 3 to 6 months to cover a person on leave. If they choose not to come back it would be permanent. If they come back the job is given to them. I don't know what to do. Should I just wait to see the Medical Assistant job after Thanksgiving? Or take the Temp position? The back medical assistant pays more. Any advice?

Hi Darcy Robertson , first off, Congrats on your job search progress. Two pending job possibilities is an ideal situation for a job seeker.
Take the temp job but go take the test for the permanent position. Temp jobs are just that temp. Hiring managers at those agencies understand that the employees they recruit are seeking a gateway to a permanent role.
If you get the permanent job offer explain that you will need to extend a two week notice to your temporary assignment as a courtesy. That should be enough.
Nice job Darcy Robertson , please keep us updated on your progress.
