I recently fell on ice and twisted my ankle knee and hip. With a doctor note to be out of work for a week and I was told to not bother coming back to my job as a waitress. Can they fire me even though every time I have missed I have had a doctors note

If you're unsure I would consult with a lawyer (if you're thinking of taking it that far) because they're the only real authority on legal matter like this. Otherwise, try to chalk it up to bad management and a poor work environment and try to get something new. Nobody needs the threat of being fired hanging over them all the time like that.
