Probably a low impact initially but this is going to be a growing concern when other stores start adapting this type of technology. Cashiers job make up a considerably large amount of the working population right now.

That’s the new outlook for all retail and many product service industries. Online shopping is changing the way customers make purchases. Grocers are going to be giant warehouses with a small showroom or walk-in area. Logistic management and warehousing skills will be in demand. That’s where retail jobs will be transitioning.
I don't know about jobs but as a consumer I can't wait for this to happen. My weekly shopping experience is a nightmare.
