Get another doctor. You do realize you can appeal the DOT medical examiner exam, right?

Any surgery to your heart or a heart attack and you can not drive cdl vehicle for at least 1 year thats the law. Sorry . if it's been over 1 year get it in writing of the exact reason they won't sign off on you driving again. Then consult legal advice.

Something similar happened to someone I know and they found another doctor that was willing to sign off. In you case it would have to be another cardiologist. Stopping meds is not good and they will know as it is on their electronic medical files. You may also get another DOT medical examiner to accept the letter you have.
